Bharatmala, Sagarmala and Setu bharatam
Bharatmala project will start from Gujarat and Rajasthan, moving to Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar near Terai region and then, covering eastern areas like Sikkim, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, ending longs the Indo-Mayanmar Border in Mizoram and Manipur states. The road network will pass through all bordering states - Nepal, Bangladesh, China, Pakistan and Bhutan - besides covering the vast coastline.

Sagar Mala is the project under which Port-led development in coastal areas will be ushered to facilitate the economic growth of India.

Bridging India or Setu Bharatam: The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, “Setu Bharatam” – an ambitious programme with an investment of Rs. 50,000 crore to build bridges for safe and seamless travel on National Highways. 

The programme aims at making all national highways Railway Level Crossing free by 2019. 208 new “road over bridges / road under bridges” are envisaged for construction, while 1500 bridges will be widened, rehabilitated or replaced.
