સાગર બહેતી

બેંગ્લુરૂના સાગર બહેતીએ નેત્રહીન હોવા છતાં બોસ્ટન મેરેથોન પૂર્ણ કરી ભારતીય સ્પોર્ટ્સના ઇતિહાસમાં 

એક ગૌરવશાળી અધ્યાય જોડી દીધો છે. આ મેરેથોનને ક્વોલિફાઈ કરવું પણ ઘણું મુશ્કેલ હોય છે ત્યારે 

સાગર બહેતીએ શારીરિક અક્ષમતાઓ છતાં ૪૨.૧૬ કિમીની આ મેરેથોનને ચાર કલાકમાં પૂર્ણ કરી હતી. 

સાગર બોસ્ટન મેરેથોનમાં ભાગ લેનાર પ્રથમ દૃષ્ટિહીન ભારતીય પણ બની ગયો હતો.

India’s first industrial-articulated robot - BRABO

BRABO, according to TAL Manufacturing Solutions, is the first Indian ‘conceptualized, designed and manufactured articulated industrial robot’. BRABO  (“Bravo Robot”) in two variants, with payloads of 2 kilos and 10 kilos, priced between INR 5 – 7 lakhs.. The robot has been developed indigenously for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) in India. The robot is primarily developed to complement the human workforce and repeatedly perform high volume, dangerous and time-consuming tasks ranging from handling of raw materials to packaging of finished products. BRABO was designed and manufactured at the TAL’s Pune factory. Other than the motors and drives for the Robo-arm, all the other parts of the robot were indigenously manufactured in India.

Nation-wide training programme launched for Elected Women representatives (EWRs) of Panchayats

A comprehensive module for capacity building of Elected Women Representatives (EWRs) of Panchayats and a training program for Trainers of women panchayat leaders across the country was launched by the Ministry of Women and Child Development in collaboration with the Ministry of Panchayati Raj today. The training program was launched at Ranchi, Jharkhand through a video conference, by the Minister of Women & Child Development, Smt Maneka Sanjay Gandhi in the presence of Minister of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Shri Narendra Singh Tomar in New Delhi today. The training program seeks to empower EWRs of panchayats by enhancing their capacity, capability and skill in governance and administration of villages.

સૌની (સૌરાષ્ટ્ર નર્મદા ઇરિગેશન) યોજના

તા. 17 એપ્રિલ, 2017, સોમવાર- 'સૌની' (સૌરાષ્ટ્ર નર્મદા ઇરિગેશન) યોજના અંતર્ગતમાં નર્મદાના વધામણા કરતા જણાવ્યું હતું કે, પાણી એ ગુજરાતની આર્થિક તાકાત છે.

સૌરાષ્ટ્ર નર્મદા અવતરણ સિંચાઈ યોજના એટલે કે 'સૌની' યોજના પાછળ કુલ ૧૬,૬૩૮ કરોડ રૃપિયાનો ખર્ચ થશે. ૧,૨૬૩ કિલો મીટરની લંબાઈની ચાર લિંક પાઈપલાઈન દ્વારા આ યોજના પરીપૂર્ણ થશે. જેને કારણે નર્મદાના પૂરનું વહી જતું એક મિલિયન એકર ફીટ પાણી સૌરાષ્ટ્રને મળશે. સૌરાષ્ટ્ર વિસ્તારમાં ૧૧૫ જળાશયોને 'સૌની' હેઠળ આવરી લેવાશે. જેમાં અદાજે ૯.૪૨ લાખ એકરથી વધુ જમીનની હયાત સિંચાઈ સુવિધા બનશે અને પાણીની મુશ્કેલીઓનો કાયમી અંત આવશે. સૌની યોજનાની લીન્ક ૧, ૨, ૩ અને ૪ દ્વારા સૌરાષ્ટ્ર-કચ્છના ૧૧૫ જળાશયો ભરાશે.
